What will television shops do when BBC HD is replaced by BBC Two HD? There will no longer be a FTA HD channel that has 100% HD content to show off their new TVs.

Do Sky broadcast a HD channel for demonstration purposes? It seems it would be a good time for them to start.

They have a 'HD Retail Info' that seems to show HD clips whilst broadcasting.

So next week, running from the last programme on the BBC HD Channel at around 01.20am on the morning of Tuesday 26th of March untill BBC-2 HD takes over at 06.05am there will be Testcards and lots of them apparently: -

Does anyone know how to get a Sky HD box to record during this period? - WHen I've tried to set my box it kindly tells me it's not possible.

Press Services > Options > Manual Recording (it's probably abbreviated). Input the channel number then the date and recording times.

You probably wont want the whole thing anyway, given it's just a 30 or 40 minute loop.

Andy Quested's blog posted:
The loop is 10 minutes long so set your PVRs for about a 30 minute recording any time after the last programme (please check the EPGs just in case there are last minute schedule changes) until around 6.00am.

It's a shame that the BBC HD channel (as it still is) isn't simulcasting the Madness gig at TV Centre that is relegated to BBC Four

Why this TVC show is on BBC Four I have no idea. It should be at least be on BBC Two...

It was commissioned by BBC4. If they hadn't have commissioned there would have been none of it.

But yes I agree it's a shame it couldn't have been a few spaces up the EPG.

What's the betting the last song played will be Our House?

Oh maybe not…

Apparently BBC One HD and BBC Two HD are moving to 141 and 142 on the Sky EPG according to UK Free TV website, which still leaves 143 spare if the BBC end up using the additional bandwidth on the BBCB mux.
