Official Comfirmation lurking around in a BBC FAQ that later this year, some programming made in HD but only transmitted in SD will be available to view in HD from the iPlayer ....

The bitrate cant be high on BBC One or Two HD, I could see pixels during World Business Report during transitions, it should look better, but the Beeb wont change their encoder settings, you can tell the difference between the World Snooker on BBC Two and Eurosport HD.

Unfortunately I don't have the means to record two HD feeds, so I cant show you the difference.

Yeah I've noticed this before as well but on the BBC Two Newshour simulcasts. On both the NC and WN live 'BBC News' boxes, you can see specks of green seeping through....

What is the bitrate that Eurosport HD is putting out compared to BBC?

According to VLC Eurosport is 12-15mbps, the BBC are on 6-10 mbps, 6 is just too low imho.
