Oh, I don't know, Graham Norton was an EXCELLENT choice.
It enabled me to totally ignore BBC One and watch Hustle and Twentieth Century Roadshow off tape.
I'm actually up-to-date with all my recorded stuff now, till I go out again tomorrow night for YET more alcohol.

Yes, a lot of the "comedy" efforts seemed to go down like the proverbial lead balloon.
I thought the show really needed a voiceover, to cover the long winner walkups, and to fill in something useful about the people who were picking up the gongs. Even a caption naming them would have added some sort of interest. And the third time G Norton made a yawning sort of reference to the excessive length of the show, I found myself shouting at the telly "Look, if the gig's too tough for you, p**s off and give it to someone who wants it..."

Must say that from the tiny bit I DID see, whilst changing tapes over, Mr Norton looked as if he'd just wandered in off the street after sleeping in the local skip.
No tie and a jacket that looked as if it had last seen an iron in nineteen seventy.
I KNOW I'm old fashioned, but whatever happened to evening dress for a function like that?

I quite agree. I shall be going out tomorrow into Cardiff, and seeing how fab I look all in black on Metropol, I shall put on my suit along with a black shirt.
If that doesn't get the girls begging to come back with me in the taxi, then I don't know what will!
