BBC TWO NI aired both the 1992 and 1994 Christmas idents last night, both with the centred logo. The former carried Silk's music and the latter had Swan's.

You can excuse Northern Ireland in this case as they may not actually have the originals to work off of. The replacement soundtracks still sound quite fitting, especially the 1992 one.

Saw (and captured) both playouts of the 1994 ident (and really great it is too).

When was the 1992 ident played? Didn't see that Sad

Wow - is that the first time one of the nations has done their own Christmas idents since the COW/TWO era?

Network isn't over staffed with lots of time on their hands....

I was just being mischievously flippant (I thought the emoticon I used made that reasonably clear).

BBC2 Wales aired the BBC2 1999 Christmas ident, before The Daily Politics, with 1997 logo (the 2000 version with URL).

I do wonder if Network have ever looked at Wales or NI and asked, "Hey guys, why haven't you used our stuff? Is there something wrong with it?"
