BBC Two Christmas 2018

Sounds interesting, I've not seen it yet. I presume this one wasn't quite ready for broadcast last weekend?

I like the idea of spreading them out if there are more.

Very nice. Have Wales launched it prematurely? Lovely and unmistakenlt Christmassy, where as the others have a winter vibe.

I’m glad we’re getting more Christmas idents. Whilst I love the two that were introduced initially, it must be very limiting (aurora ident mainly for news programming, magic tree ident for everything else) especially considering the range of the standard set.

The new idents are growing on me as they evolve. There is so much you can do with a curve.

It's great to see the spirit and personality of the 90s '2' unleashed in new ways a restrictive numeral form could never pleasingly achieve.

Simple, clever, charming, Christmassy.

The Curve concept is just proving that sometimes less is more.

They've done it across the UK too so it's nice to have Two HD on 102 now. This caption is currently running on the old 162:




Seems a bit of a software oversight that recordings can only be seen for another 12 months, just because the channel position was changed.

Any word on an official name for the Cats Tail ident?

And so we've reached the last day of these festive idents. Sad in a way, but at least we know we're going back to the excellent non-Christmas ones tomorrow morning. And, of course, we know full well that Glamorous, Magical and Cat's Tail will all be back next December.
