The BBC website always calls them "idents" so I believe.

Music has certainly changed for the ident. I do like the way the media player fades to dark grey whilst you're watching rather than being a distracting white.
The 2s didn't used to go WEEE either!

Looks like it not just the junctions into the Winter Olympics that are branded like this. It would seem the whole channel has adopted this look for the duration of the games.
Wonder what happens when the games end. Essentially, BBC Two have wrecked the continuity of the yellow brand for the first time since it's launch (apart from the comedy idents). Surely they can't return to it as if nothing happened.

Yeah, but it's a goodun. They actually have character and the production values are very high. It's like the good old days. The break bumpers are nice too.
