Presumably, all trails created after a certain date carry the new style now?
If it becomes commonplace, then it's an absolute bye-bye to the simple bottom-screen, bold white text that has been used by the Beeb for a *long* time indeed.
That is, if all remnants of the style are removed - maybe the "TWO NIGHT" trails are only affected by this, with 'standard' trails remaining intact; if anyone can clarify.
On the other hand, an overall freshen-up would mean subsequent changes to slides too. I have yet to see a new style of slide.

God it all looks a right mess! No consistency whatsoever, the whole mis-matched look does not suit the content of the channel at all.
Relaunch! Relaunch! Relaunch!

I saw the different style on the trail at the same time but was subsequently disappointed that it wasn't continued through onto other trailers as it did look quite stylish and professional. I have to agree with a previous poster's comment on the lack of consistency - I just wish they would choose a style and stick with it!
Though on the positive from that junction at least we saw the elusive Drum Long in an almost full showing.

The 2 night way of doing the programme title and time actually looks better than the way it's done now.

With this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show looming, it has occurred to me that there is no BBC TWO ident particularly suited for gardening idents, when nearly everything else is covered - for example:
Drama/Anything Serious: Bounce Sombre, Causeway(?), Invisible Walls
Comedy: Domino, Sticky, Remote, Drip, Morris Dancers
Cookery: Fry, Fire, Fish (if seafood!
)
Music: Drum
Sport: Formation!
Gardening: err....? None...
AFAIK there will be some coverage of the Flower Show on TWO; they should have created an ident for this sort of prgramming ages ago, and with a rebrand probably in the pipeline anyway, I doubt there will be a new one for it this year. Hopefully they won't forget to make one for the next new look, as they had one over a decade ago, so why not now!?

Drip Short will no doubt make a regular appearance along with perhaps Self Portrait and Drum. One thing that can be seen is that most of the idents are adaptable to any programme. Other than Bounce Sombre, the idents can be used for pretty much anything - I've seen Invisible Walls introduce comedy and Remote introduce news. I suppose at least we get a variety of what idents will be used though!

Did no one notice anything different yesterday? What did they use into the Chelsea Flower Show?

Eh? I thought the Chelsea Flower Show was to be shown on TWO Monday....
I would think Marksi or Dan would let us know if anything was changing! Unfortunately I have not heard anything (although I can't say any special pres is particularly likely); so if monday comes and there is no information, just expect selections from the standard set to be included for use into those junctions.

I guess I can answer CN's question now - they used Predator!!
Nothing on a rebrand yet - but if they continue to bring (superior) classic idents back from the dead like this, maybe we'll just end up seeing the current set running for a while longer, interspersed with the occasional old gem to surprise us and give us a break from the norm.

Which one is Predator?
