Just put BBC 2 HD on and they're showing 'Saturday Kitchen Best Bites' which appears to be a compilation show.
The picture quality is awful, I know the clips will be SD native, but I had to double check I wasn't tuned to BBC 2 SD . Almost looks as if the clips were recorded off air at the time from BBC 2 SD ! Surely not ?

Saturday Kitchen Best Bits isn't advertised as HD programme.

Yes, I know that !! Rolling Eyes

My point was the picture quality was far worse than normal native SD material that is up-converted to be shown on HD channels. It was full of emission level MPEG artefacts, as I say it looked as if it had been sourced from emission level SD coded output, not '270 Mb/s SD'.

No, because Windows, seems to have a better picture than chrome.

Which part of 'Just put BBC 2 HD on and they're showing 'Saturday Kitchen Best Bites' wasn't clear ? Cool
