BBC Two has been stuck on 4:3 ratio all evening on analogue, with no black bars, even on new programes such as 'The Key', which are billed in the Radio Times as being in widescreen. Has someone just pressed the wrong button, and no-one has noticed?

I thought the BBC always broadcast in 4:3 on analogue, and only transmitted widescreen pictures on digital?

No, they usually show widescreen as 14:9 (or 16:9 for films).

At 7pm last night on 2, TOTP 2 went out on SKY Digi at least, for the first couple of tracks in 'the black bars down the side' mode !
Don't know about analogue. (I was taping it on analogue as well, but haven't looked at the tape yet !)
