If we can't talk about the smaller details of TV presentation on a niche TV presentation discussion forum, where can we?
It's just a bloody 2.

Even we have to draw the line somewhere.
It's not like we're talking about presenters lives or rotas in excruciating detail, is it?
If you don't care about a conversation I politely suggest you avoid the thread and look elsewhere than making people feel bad for having it in the first place. If we can talk about the latest minor change to the GMB set, we can talk about the minor changes made to the BBC Two logo.

I'm no expert in the circumscription of the BBC 2 numeral but to my knowledge there has only been one minor change in its 25 year history. Is there much else to say about it that hasn't been said?

Nine years later though?
There are much bigger problems with BBC2's presentation than the shape of the 2. Its programming is the best it has been for years but it is stuck with garish graphics and 25 year old idents. The presentation should be reflecting the channel of today, not the channel of a quarter of a century ago.

Oh, I sensed that too but just put it down to the change in presentation.
I'm disappointed in you, TV Forum! I've always thought there was a clear difference between the two '2's. Even if you can't describe it, you can just tell there's just something wrong about the new one.

Could you say Channel 4 went through the same "what was the point in that* redesign with their logo last year? I'm still not quite sure what the benefit was of thinking the blocks out. It looks almost identical to the old one when it's small.
