Same goes for the Freeview EPG. This is BBC TWO isn't going anywhere at this point, it's filler that is easy to produce and to pad out the schedule, though it's nice to see a snippet of a few programmes sometimes.
Sky peg suggests BBC parliament on BBC two is only for one hour and then it's this is BBC two after that although the listings magazines list it differently

Looks like this is correct. The link I posted a few pages back is showing as 1 hour programme.

No, BBC Parliament will fill the gap until the start of morning programmes and the Barker will disappear.

As awful as the box would look, either of the Waves could be used without looking out of place in 2016. I would never have guessed Silk would make a return to regular rotation so it's possible, I suppose. Judging by the response to the Radio Times letter, more of the CG specials are being planned for the immediate future.
I'm quite surprised Aerial along with Wave didn't make it into the Network collection as they're quirky and active to go with the other collection. I'd like to see Optics or Steam join Silk in the more neutral lineup they'd also suit the white box. I do hope more are added to the Network set....

Speak for yourself. The white box with Silk is just awful. I feel inclined to avert my eyes on many occasions, that's how hideous I find it. Only NI have the good sense to use a logo design (centralized, boxless) which works with the '90s idents.

It's still not very nice though. They probably need to bite the bullet and go back to a 90s-style centred logo.
I don't get why Aerial is so popular. I don't dislike any of the classic 2s but that's one of the more boring ones to me. I also don't like the fact its animation, where it zips around the screen, is essentially just video editing rather than the live action seen in most of the others. Would be happy to see it if it meant expanding the roster of current idents though.
Wave is a great ident whose working life was way too short. Would be good to see that back in service. I do think Silk needs a bit of company when it comes to idents that can be used for serious programmes. Glass still looks graceful despite its age. Would definitely vote for Paint too. Even disregarding the debate on whether Paint Pot works by itself, the original Paint is still the better ident.

I'm not a fan of the NI style, personally. I think a smaller white box would work best.

White clashes with far less than the teal they usually use.
Whilst white, in theory, would be a reasonable choice of colour for use with Silk, it doesn't work in my opinion because the box is so large, and with the white being such a stark contrast with the teal coloured sheet of silk, it's just too 'in your face' and overbearing. Also, it's not far enough over to the right-hand side of the screen. To add further insult to injury, the Subtitles flag is not even in alignment. It's a mess.

I always feel Aerial would have been so much better had they used a real model.

Here. I've just knocked up a version where the white boxed logo is a little smaller and further over to the right-hand side of the screen. If they must use the boxed, uncentralized logo, surely this would be a slight improvement, even if nowhere near as good as NI's logo, in my opinion.

It was more to do with the fact that both Optics and Steam both feature black as the predominant colour meaning the white would work quite well. I'm sure if Silk can be in regular rotations there's nothing to stop a lot of the others joining. I'm sure if Silk can be in regular rotation and still look and sound good there's nothing to stop more of the others joining including the more recent ones such as Wave.

they'd also suit the white box

If they insist on their use a boxed logo, a small improvement could be made by reducing its size and placing it further over to the right, so that it's not quite as distracting, as I've tried to illustrate in my mock a few posts ago.
