Looks like BBC Two are dropping "This is BBC Two" from the early hours and instead from next Monday (or early hrs of Tuesday) are showing BBC Parliament highlights.

Taking a leaf out of the S4C book, as they usually show the Welsh Assembly highlights after closedown.

You'd have thought running This is BBC Two would be cheaper. Sorry to see the clean idents go though.

I'm curios as to why they'd bother. BBC Parliament already repeats their programming literally until they have something else to show.

Considering that Parliament gains extremely low ratings, it's just filler to pad out the rest of the BBC Two schedule. No one will bother.

.[/quote] Besides the 50th anniversary celebrations in 2014, budget cuts have actually allowed BBC Two to bring back their 1991 - 2001 presentation, albeit remaining with a tired endboard, Network only bringing back a selection of idents and the teal box spoiling the nostalgia as a whole. If Network would bring back any idents not shown now on Two, Optics, Paint, Aerial and Wave Day/Night would get my vote personally.[/quote]

I'm quite surprised Aerial along with Wave didn't make it into the Network collection as they're quirky and active to go with the other collection. I'd like to see Optics or Steam join Silk in the more neutral lineup they'd also suit the white box. I do hope more are added to the Network set....
