I disagree. I thought it was always strange, that the presenters said goodbye from the live 8pm show, and the they were back again after a couple of trails and an ident 2 mins later.
Yea I fully agree- programmes
Should be split- its silly having a spin off programme that starts on the same
Channel within minutes of the main one finishing- it's like when the snooker or darts is on bbc at night then it ends and its followed by snooker/darts extra which is essentially the same matches but extended...
Spin off shows are sometimes just lazy programme making- imagine if the 6 o clock news was then followed at 6:30 by a spin off show where the same items are
Just discussed again with a bit more in depth- what not stop making such fluffy programmes with so many "coming up" "still to come" "let's recap" features and just Drop those bits and get on with the show- each show could fit a lot more in without need for a spin off etc.
On the subject of fluffy padding I find the daytime shows such as Homes Under The Hammer and Countryside 999 or whatever it's called could be made so much shorter if they stopped playing their theme music every 10mins and stop the recaps and just get on with it!!

I'm sure there was a Six Forum in the early days of digital TV, either on News 24 or BBCi.
As for endless recaps and padding - probably deliberate with its future life on commercial TV in mind.
There's a second Top Gear sting where the smoke from a car's exhaust dissipates around the programme's logo.
I think that one was the first to be shown, in the buildup to the first episode of the new era (which I'll call sting A), whereas sting B was shown subsequent to the airing of the first episode of the new era.
sting A:
sting B:
(apologies for uploading stills only. I cannot seem to upload videos that are playable on TVF, at present, for reasons I haven't yet got to the bottom of)

That is done for reversioning purposes. Nce easy point for uktv to drop in an ad break and a recap after the break.
The first sting was shown today on BBC TWO Scotland so it's still being used.
Just to be clear, Cavan, I wasn't implying that sting A had been withdrawn and was no longer being used, subsequent to the airing of the first episode of the new era.
