They've made factual errors like this in the past, usually stuff like this where they guess what channel something was on rather than just googling it.

I’m sure it resonates with you, maybe more than many others, seeing as you evidently hail from Granada-land !

NI used their St Patrick's Day version of Paint, before Match of the Day from Northern Ireland. Nice to see its continued use. Maybe worth noting the logo lacks the drop shadow as used on the regular Paint, and most of the others.

The first episode of the new era of Top Gear sees Car ident, with an alternative soundtrack.
It's certainly not the first time - hashtag-ified idents were used for that Gareth Malone choir series in December 2014 and for some Cardiff run on BBC TWO Wales last year.
NI's version lacks the drop shadow on the logo, unlike regular Car.
Judging by the iPlayer live stream, it seems that only Network played the soundtrack in Stereo. Not sure about the syncing of the stereo soundtrack with the visuals. The revving engine noises seem to go hard left/hard right whilst not being rigidly in sync with the Car 2's on-screen placement IMO. I wonder if NI, Scotland and Wales were similarly unimpressed with the new soundtracks' stereo placement, and so, decided to play it in mono instead?

There was a Top Gear sting shown last night at 11:05pm. A car roars down a road, shown with an aerial camera position, though not far above the road. The car leaves a trail of exhaust smoke. A '2' in the form of smoke emerges from the surrounding smoke and turns 180° before hurtling off in pursuit of the car. I spotted it on one of my NI timer recordings this morning, so I don't know if other Nations used it.
Not sure about the decision to move Springwatch Unsprung to before the main programme for this series. It does provide a 6.30pm filler for three weeks, but in the past running it after the main programme allowed items in that to be immediately expanded on in the discussion segment of Unsprung.
