BBC Two 2015 with 90s idents

Although the BBC making idents just to air for a week or so around a season of programmes while the rest of the year the channel is airing the idents found in the bin when they left TV centre arguably is newsworthy.

Six new idents replacing the 90s idents would be lovely, especially if they are of the calibre of that 90s ident. They're still compromised by the box mind, and the whole graphics package still needs replacing, but the idents would be progress.

As Jonny said though the current crop of special 2 idents look really cheap. I'd rather they just stuck with 90's idents than go with the tacky CGI 2 full time which, ironically, look far more dated than the 90's idents do.

Has anyone else notice the channel is using even more sting from the 90s?

Apparently, BBC Two's overnight 'This is BBC Two' filler has been updated. It's supposedly one hour long and ends with one minute of the testcard. I've not seen it myself but I'm told it's Testcard F, which seems a bit odd.

It's W (the 16:9 remastered version of F). However, with an added audio delay 'bar'. Coo !

Only a minute? Is it just for anoraks then I wonder?

If it was up to me, I'd have the testcard on all night. But then again, I've always been a bit odd.

The BBC BBC Two is a bit irritating.

A minute is about what we got on BBCHD in the day, the clapper was on for a separate minute then though.

Is it W or the HD version?

Thought W was the 720x576 SD 16:9 testcard with the additional reverse arrow pointers in the 9 samples outside the 16:9 active area? (You shouldn't see those on a 16:9 display, nor should they be present on an up conversion to 1080i or 720p)

I have to agree with chris on this; BBC BBC Two is annoying.
