DIdn't know where to put this small comment, so here will do given it's a BBC TWO programme.

Anyway, Antiques Road Trip on Monday used some background music in one scene which I knew I recognised from somewhere but couldn't recall. Anyway, it's been bugging me all week, and tonight struck me that it's the theme to Room 101.

Must be a library piece then, but here's the evidence from Antiques Road Trip - forward to 22:00, and it runs in the background until 23:20.

I've noticed that theme pop up in a few places and like yourself I didn't recognise it at first.

It's one of Terry Devine-King's classic Audio Network masterpieces: "Downtown Jump".

Woah, that 2 looks very off model!

Nice one-off special ident. They should actually try to remake some of the original ones so they look better in HD.

It was amusing, but could have been done better. Then again, as a one off and as a joke ident, it served its purpose. They moved the BBC TWO box out to the edge of the screen, well done, but they left the subtitles tag too far in fro the right. Ugh! Will they ever get that correct (or stop using it, seeing as all programmes are subtitled now aren't they?)

I would have changed the position of the silk sheet used so there wasn't a ruddy stitch line right across the centre of the screen and changed the two outline so it looked like the classic '2', not the newer version that had the point missing at the bottom left.

It was a person underneath the cloth making the shape

That's what they want you to think, but it rather obviously, wasn't.

It was an edit to make you think a '2' cutout was under the silk, not a human being. That is rather obviously a framework to give the 2 shape, so it seems weird they left a bit out...
