Hey, ident fans, if you're ultra quick on the iPlayer rewind BBC2 played out a long Silk, clean up until the second bell, before Newsnight.

NI used their fancy *16:9 digital widescreen* Shadow because they give zero ducks.

I saw that too. Almost 20 seconds of ident before the announcer spoke! That didn't happen often in the 90s, let alone these days.

A Silk playout I saw a couple of weeks ago was pretty long too. I wonder whether there's a reason they're letting the ident play longer, or maybe they like the sound track as much as I do Wink

Network played out the Tennis ident, on friday at 6:30pm, with a much longer delay than usual before CA came in, clean up to 15" (though, the overall length was not much longer than usual, at 23").

You could hear the shouts of "B" "B" "C" "2" continue, as the players continue to play the point, something I hadn't noticed before, as the CA normally drowns out the soundtrack fairly early on. The 6:30pm playout was unscheduled, which seemed to have an effect on how clean this particular playout was(?).
