BBC TWO dun goofed.

I'm not a fan of the use of the teal logo box on these idents - and certainly not in the position that Network has chosen to place it. It would've been more platable if it were moved more to the right and reduced in size a little. Why on earth Network insists on putting that redundant 'Subtitles' indicator on all of its idents, I have no idea (would make a nice change if they even used the correct channel font). And another layout fail is the fact the 'Subtitles' indicator isn't aligned with the right-hand-side of the logo box - that just looks messy.

Well done to BBC Northern Ireland for their implementation of existing logo with old symbols. And thank you for taking the time to get such a wide range of old idents packaged together and back on air!

The teal box is oversized, not far enough into the right-hand corner, and just imposing. How Network can slap that logo on, and think it works is beyond me.

Once again, NI have completely outshone the rest. NI take much more care in how things look. The centralised logo looks great and works so well with these idents. As cylon6 said earlier, NI pres dept are real pres enthusiasts, and they just 'get it'.

I don't like either place the "BBC Two " names is placed. With NI, it just seems to small of maybe it the fact when the name was on straight line for BBC Two just made it look better.

I wouldn't call NI's logo too small - it might just be the general awkwardness of the "boxed" shape. Considering the brand guidelines they've got to work with, BBC NI have done a terrific job bringing these 1990s idents bang up to date.

Oh, would like to see that if anyone can oblige. I think I remember reading they couldn't find a clean copy of that version, so obviously one has been uncovered after more searching; really going above and beyond the extra mile.

It'll be on iPlayer Live restart for a while yet, here's the NI link.
