New BBC2 Snooker ident just aired, featuring the 2 laying on its side acting as the end of a snooker rest. It's quite light-hearted, with comical chuckling and the 2 wobbling about.
I wish they'd make use of the Snooker sting that was used in the 90's.

Looks good - the 2 giggling as it's rubbed by the cue. Oo-err.
I have to say the Snooker ident was a nice addition to the "2015" set (rather than re-hashing the 90's idents), although animating the giggling of the Two in my opinion, detracts from the appeal of the ident.
Also: Initially I was expecting the use of Blade's snooker cameo as in "Harry and Paul's Story of the Twos"!

At least they're giving the '2' some character, like the 90's stings. I approve!
I quite like that, though could do without the score graphic at the beginning. Could do with the cue then knocking the boxed logo off screen - think it would ruin even the most perfect of ident.
Also could giving the "2" a voice by a viable way to create a new set of idents - or at least make the 2 react a bit more to what is going on around it as it does here rather than just being static or flowing through the ident as the 90s ones mainly are. I guess kind of a more human version of the robot logo if that makes sense.
I think it's a good concept but from start from when the rest hits the table... and maybe without the giggling. The "character" of the '2' was usually reserved for stings rather than the idents during the 1991-2001 era. The '2's in the idents were usually pretty stable, and definitely wouldn't have laughed either.
Yeh, my first thought was it would have worked much better as a 5 sec sting because the giggling goes on too long and gets annoying / clashes with the CA.
Should have had the cue ball in focus and warped the box around it.
Beats memories of "Tagging Football" by a country mile though.
