BBC Two 2015 with 90s idents

I won't lie - I got a little bit too excited when I saw 'The Detectives' on that link. Not quite what I'd hoped though.

I think it's quite a strong lineup.

Yes, on the plus side, they've free'd it from the box. On the downside, they've free'd the wrong logo:

The mirror-heart thing really highlights the difference in the 2 numeral too. What a mess.

Either they are crap at making their own idents or perhaps they are going back to Gill Sans and this was an unplanned sneak peek at that.

The former seems the correct option though.

I like the idea of editing the symbols to form the heart shape. It's something different without a massive rebranding cost.

What in good hell are they thinking when making these. How about they hire NI presentation.

The most worrying thing is that having the hashtag symbol appear as a BBC block is something I could actually imagine being used in real life.

That's far too well designed to make it on screen.

NI showed Paint in a slightly different way before W1A, whereby the ident was frozen at the start (before the paint begins to drop) while Michael Selby says "before going forward, it's good to look back". The ident was then played as normal.

I talk some serious **** about BBC2 pres, but the Northern Ireland team are the absolute best.

Northern Ireland should be contracted to do Network pres.
