So BBC Two still using christmas branded promos despite idents going back to normal? Just seen a christmas promo for the T Rex programme with Chris Packham.

With “T. rex” in the name. Not sure that’s how it’s supposed to be spelled out. But it’s the least of the end boards problems.

Are we talking about the dinosaur, the band, the other/same band, or the popular brand of lubricant...er....baking vegetable fat?

Anyway, I think it's time BBC Two got a refresh. After 2 years of showing these classic idents, people are getting tired of them and want something new.

I love them. I'm not sure what BBC 2 can do to better them apart from recreating them for HD or Widescreen. The Yellow/Purple was horrible and the 2008 ones were average after a while.

I dread to think what they'd replace them with at the moment.

I love them too, but it's a clear sign of desperation from BBC, if they happen to reuse them

Well for a start they added a horrible soundtrack onto the BBC2 Christmas Ident so it's not promising that they could replace them sensibly.

Imagine if they replace them with new idents similar to the Window on the World ident (with a mixture of 90s idents in the them) but bland and boring like the Oneness idents.

I can see them having idents of stuff that comes in pairs. *shudder*
