But 'Springwatch'? Didn't anybody look out the window on the world?

Have they restored the Kebab ident recently since after the Grenfell town tradegy?

Yes.

That background colour used on Network and Wales (Scotland took Network's version) is so garish it's possibly outside of the legal colour gamut for broadcast TV Wink

Bearing in mind the programme is 'Autumnwatch', what else do you think is wrong with this programme trailer that went out at 7.30 this evening?

Should also say "8.00" not "8pm"?

The trail and the endboard are fed from the outside broadcast and not created by either the BBC or the playout company.

Though why no-one there realised they were using the wrong endboard I have no idea

How did NI have their own branded one?

How did NI have their own branded one?

They presumably reversioned it after it was fed, like they would to any other trail from network.

About that, BBC is the "odd" one still using no PM and AM

But, wouldn't it be maybe better if all channels adopted the 24 hour clock in promos? The announcements would still be using the 12 hour clock, obviously..
At least, UK uses the 24 hour clock in some important occasions though, unlike the US

BTW Disney Junior UK now uses a 24 hour clock in promos, although that has more to do with the schedule and graphic unification of the Western European feeds (now all Western European Disney Junior feeds have the same schedule and promos)

There are two anachronisms with British TV. The use of the 12 hour clock, and the daily schedule starting ( and finishing) at 06:00hrs. I managed to sometimes fail to record something between 00:00 and 06:00 in the VCR days because I forgot to 'advance' the day. Not a problem with PVRs of course

well, that’s not really a problem with the schedule’s start time Wink

(More with how humans get tripped up sometimes by days and hours and things)

I'm not sure if they still do but the BBCs schedulers work/ed with times that went from 0600 to 29:59.

Having a programme that starts at 26:30 is very odd

Many 24 hour channels will have an extended ident or living hold so they can hit a 'start of day' in the schedule at 0600.
