Haven't seen this used on-air before. Quite a nice intro, leading into
'Japan's Northern Wilderness',
today, at 6.27pm straight after a regular ident.
Video here:
Bit of a strange anomaly on BBC Two Scotland. The 'Scotland' text of the BBC Two boxless logo on any BBC Two Scotland trail looks as though it's the wrong font? On viewing BBC Scotland on a number of occasions recently, it looked like the font was Gill Sans. But the boxed version of the logo, at the end of trails, looked correct.
Placed the logos side-by-side with identical magnification in Photoshop. May aid with the comparison:
Well that certainly makes it very clear. And I spotted a teal boxed version in a trail earlier - using Gill Sans for 'Scotland'.

Don't know what's been going on today, but we've had an audible countdown clearly heard behind the anno with countless idents today on BBC2 Network.
Absolutely no point in sending them a tweet. Network never, ever reply or 'like'. Ain't gonna waste my precious time with them when I don't feel it's appreciated.

That most likely will be seen by a social media manager, which typically don't interact with playout. (i.e. if it's a big issue, it'll get passed up the chain through Marketing)

Don't take this the wrong way, but there's a disconnect between 'precious time' and watching BBC2 all day. Just saying!

That's not particularly accurate. I set timer recordings for the junctions, then scan through them for any goodies.
The network director who running the channel playout. They count into each item on talk back. This is heard by everyone involved - the announcer, the nations and of course if they're going to an OB
Quote:
Surely they're the one in charge.
In London the announcer is just an announcer (not to denigrate their role), they operate their own faders when the director enables them. In the nations the person you hear on air is also looking after the channel
