I'm sure Peter 'snakebite' Wright will be delighted to see himself in a ident, where in three darts..he scores just 4.
That's BDO quality stuff.
But he needed a Double 2 finish, by the sounds of the crowd at the end.

Adding 'faces' to an ident is always a perilous idea because if Snakebike leaves the PDF league for another tournament, then the ident is toast. Saying that though, this one could, I suppose, still be used by omitting the opening shot of him and starting the ident from the 'dart in flight' shot.
If one is to nit-pick in the extreme, don't the modern tournament dartboards now use 'stapleless' metal scoring dividers, unlike what appears in the ident?

Also its the danger of not watching footage with sound, so as not to show what you are looking at on your phone in an open plan office...
Another point - isn't that the BDO 'exploded ' dart board surround used in the trail? How did that get past the PDC police! And, if he had to finish on a double two - it shows some wayward scoring during that leg!
On a side issue - I guess this weekend the coverage will be 'a Matchroom Sport production for BBC Sport?' Or a PDC tv production?

Or just cut a different darts player at the beginning surely?
BBC 2 Northern Ireland have now amended the darts ident to remove the boxed logo, and just have the centralized logo appearing a few seconds in. Think it looks much better like this.

As mentioned by kernow, BBC NI have modified their BBC2 Darts ident, airing this second variant for the first time on Sunday 25th September.
They have replaced the boxed logo at form up with the centralized logo and removed it altogether from the ident's opening shots. Overall, this works much better IMO, even though the centralized logo is, admittedly, situated very close to the quivering 2 at the bottom of the dartboard.
A promo trailer for the new series of The Fall on BBC 2's Facebook page has the two main actors sitting in front of a BBC TWO logo, guess which logo it is...?
