Just having a think about models and props used in tv idents. Was wondering what happened to the dog model from the BBC 2 Ident from the nineties? Or other '2' props used in idents at the time.

Does a museum or so exist? It would be a shame if they were just binned after use. I remember a few years ago a Mr Blobby suit was found in a skip at the back of TV Centre.

Would Martin Lambie-Narin have any of them?

I'm going to email them out of curiosity and ask if they have such things. Would be interesting to see and I'll post the response from both them and the BBC. (If they respond)

I know the Doctor Who themed Two from the special 90s ident is owned by someone, and not the Beeb, as I have seen it, though I couldn't tell you whether or not it was a private collector or simply donated for the Doctor Who convention.

I know of a '2' - a large grey polysterene one was given to a continuity announcer when he left. Imagie taking that home on the tube!

That will be from MHP. Ex-BBC graphics man Bob Richardson rescued it from a skip, and now uses it as a pencil holder.
