Did anyone see that on one of the reports on Newsnight last night, there was an interview from the Tunbridge Wells newsroom.

The interviewee was standing in front of a screen showing a still from the blue corporate regional titles, featuring a map of the new South East region, with the words 'BBC Tunbridge Wells' in the centre, presumably where 'South East Today' will go.

I think the video should be available at www.bbc.co.uk/newsnight

How far into the programme was it?

On the Realvideo stream, it is at 7:14 into the program.

Well, that image must be from during the opening titles to SE Today, as it is in a funny position. As a rule, all the regional maps are the right way up in the last part of the opening titles. It may be the end part of the sting, though.

Just a thought, but maybe those screens point to bulletins being presented from the newsroom?

Do you know when you will have these back on the web site? I love the title sequences to the BBC regional news programmes. Also, will they all be the same size, dimensions I mean not file size. The last ones I downloaded varied - e.g. the South Today titles are about half the size of the Look East ones. And what about the bit-rate? 350Kbps vs. 450Kpbs.

I don't know, Asa only knows that!! The reason why the Look East/NW Today/NW Tonight/Look North ones are bigger is because of me! I captured the NW Today ones in a larger size, because I feel that it gives a better quality of picture. However, the file size increases slightly. The Look East/Look North ones I asked people for, and also asked for them in this large size. I don't know how to capture any smaller with WinTV!! Sorry if this causes any problems! I know the ones Asa does are smaller. The South Today ones are now small, I do know that.

I was working on Newsnight last night (my name was in the credits!) and it was quite difficult to do the Tunbridge Wells feed - they have no reception working yet so there was a struggle to get through on the phone to the place!

I agree. I would rather wait a bit longer to download the files, even though I have a slow 56K connection. Apologies for going off-topic for a moment, but as the number of broadband users increases have you thought about offering larger, higher resolution clips? I guess this is Asa's decision, right?

Yes, everything to do with the entire TV Home site is to do with Asa. I only help him with the forum. You'd have to speak to Asa to suggest clips being a bigger size.
