Loads of us have our boxes permanently set for instant rewind - so you don't have to go to pause before you can rewind - it is constantly buffering the last 30mins, hour (as decided by the user). When you are watching Live TV but have it being recorded it would be very annoying if setting a Press Green recording stopped you being able to rewind before the trail (in some situations)
Have checked - and pressing Green takes you to a full screen menu, but doesn't tune away (audio still there) or stop the buffering so you can happily set recordings without losing the buffer (which wouldn't be the case if you went to TV Guide - which DOES re-tune the box to the EPG transponder and zaps the Instant Rewind buffer, until we get the new cached-to-hard-drive EPG anyway)
