I know its a bit late, but I haven't seen BBC Three in ages and wondered what they had replaced it with? Is it another song, or just a bed of music thats used on each ident.
Surely it's about time that BBC Three was refreshed. I don't think the blobs should be ditched as they represent the channel, there is more that could be done with them than what they have done already. The same could have applied to the CBBC bugs that imo were dropped far too early.
When BBC Three next rebrand, I think it would be a good idea to keep the blobs, but change their setting and context. Apart from that, a new logo should be designed, to match new logos in a similar design for all the channels.
Don't agree at all, I like BBC3's pres as it is, still don't know why TOTP didn't move into the BBC 3 downtime, as the saying goes '' if you can't beat them, join them''

It is the same piece of music for each ident., I would say that it uses, slightly stacato-ed, I think syncopated is the right word electronic music.
I think that they should make a'Doctor Who' ident, where the tardis appears, and a doctor-blob gets out.
