I remember when the consultations were going on about changing or developing BBC Choice into BBC Three, the original submission was rejected along the lines that BBC Three would be too similar to E4.
Although BBC Three makes far more original programming, I think there is a danger that it's getting closer to E4 in terms of target audience. I think as well the promise to fill BBC Three's news slot with " newsworthy programmes " or whatever the term was that was used, has not been fulfilled.

I think the news committments have been weakened since BBC Three launched.
Not sure the channel has done enough to develop new talent - James Cordon, Lily Allen are often cited as examples, but it could do more - and I have said so at www.bbcyoursay.co.uk !! (there is a specific question about developing new talent..
