I think the big problem with this revamp is that it suffers from Trendy Dad syndrome. It's just trying way too hard to be cool and down wiv da kidz. In so doing, it ends up looking a bit like a maths teacher trying to break-dance at a school disco.

The BBC needs to look at how E4 does it. They manage to be young and cool because they aren't playing so hard on the 'yoof' card and don't appear to be trying too hard.

BBC Three's presentation now just seems a bit condescending to young people. I'm put in mind a bit of those supposedly trendy magazines banks send out for student account holders.

Sorry, Lorna and Nini.

The new look is revolting, and those people introducing the programmes have single-handedly ruined the channel. And the BBC. And the medium of television as a whole.

Nothing like a bit of hyperbole, is there?

"The BBC3 controller, Danny Cohen, said..."I'm pleased that last night more young people tuned into us than this time last year and I'm hugely encouraged by the quality and initial impact of all of our changes, and am looking forward to growing our young audiences further." " (Media Guardian)

Quality and initial impact? Lol. No hope if he's in charge then.

Sounds like he's been taking spin tips from Brekkie Boy.

Confirmation that the new Three is just CBBC for teens, the CBBC DOG was mistakenly displayed going into TopGear Razz

How did that happen? The CBBC DOG appeared in the corner as Top Gear was starting and then quickly changed into the BBC Three logo Confused I still can't read a thing on the 60seconds ticker without feeling ill...

I think BBC Three comes off the same playout system as CBBC, hence the potential for the offending DOG to appear. I think CBeebies and BBC Four also share playout.

Yes, about 10 years ago you would probably have had to have them both sharing a channel, so the EPG could say CBBC/BBC Choice.

They stopped this confusion when they launched CBBC on Choice, which took up Choice's daytime hours and eventually became the CBBC Channel.

The same was with BBC Knowledge too; until CBeebies launched BBC Knowledge was on during the daytime as well.
