BBC Three really does need a shake-up. It needs to decide what it is and get itself an identity.
Liking the look of the new logo and branding, the picturesposted here a while back were nice too (funnily enough I found them on my hard drive only yesterday!)
As long as they don't make it too 'street' though, there's nothing worse than an organistaion trying and failing to be trendy

Looks similar in style to the leak that was posted a while back.

We're in the middle of creating a brand new world for BBC THREE, where people like you can hang out, be entertained and create things to share.
This site is just a little taster of what's to come and to encourage you to be a part of three.

Which makes BBC2 keeping the box even more ridiculous.
Don't forget BBC4 Brekkie! Well at least two channels would still have a Box, and technically BBC1 uses a box when they cross promote.

One good thing is that it looks like we're going away from the box with that logo...

There is nothing to suggest that BBC Three won't continue to use a boxed logo, especially for cross-promotion. However, judging by the images we've seen it would either be white or pink. White would cause a conflict with BBC Four, and pink would not be to my taste (only because we would then have 4 BBC channels using "shades of red").

So it seems as if they're probably doing away with continuity announcers and inviting the public to post thier own introductions to programmes online and they'll use them on the channel.
It will at the very least give the channel more of a unique feel and make it stand out a bit more. But, like most things done by "the public", it'll probably be a bit rubbish.

Dutifully and to avoid a berating from someone that I haven't trawled through for an existing thread, I've dredged this one up from before Christmas!
I heard a trail on Radio 1 today about "BBC Three is changing ..." and finally found this: website
I hadn't actually heard about this rebrand but it seems like pink is the new blue! I suppose BBC Three does need an overhaul (I for one have got totally bored by the blobs) but does it really need the public sending in their continuity intros? I mean, I don't have a go at accountancy every so often do I?!
