Hmm clearly not a lot of love for BBC3 on this forum - but i doubt many on here are really the people it's aimed at.
I'm 21 right in the middle of its target audience and this new look - not just the branding but the whole raft of new programmes etc looks very good IMO. Personally i think the blobs and that logo are now looking rather dated and it was certainly time for a change.
When BBC3 launched it was a very different channel - and was aimed at 25-34 year olds, this has now been changed and the controller said recently it would be aimed more at late teens/early twenties. Some of the new dramas look great - The Guardian said that The Things I Haven't Told You was even better than Skins.
And BBC3 is the most popular digital channel - ratings haven risen enormously and reaches 31% of 16-34 year olds each week while in the first week of 2008 it had its highest reach ever.
