I was watching Family Guy and after the first episode there was a trailer, it was a black screen with a siver circle in the middle, alos there was pink writing. It was similar to the images posted here a couple of months ago of.. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this and whether BBC Three is going to rebrand soon.
I'm worried about this one. It looks like a classic case of style over content.
The BBC's getting a lot of trouble over BBC3 and why it exists right now. So it looks like they're going to try and make it some super-wonder-interactive-futuristic-style-portal nonsense.
Which in reality means it's going to be amateurish crap in an MTV Flux style. Fronted by Lily Allen. Eurgh.
Better to stick to creating more new comedy, the likes of which commercial TV could never support, like The Mighty Boosh, than throw their money down a well this way.
Hmm, this thread got me thinking of that leaked BBC Three rebrand that existed and diappeared exactly for the one day I wasn't here (and still nobody will even PM me with some of the pics).
Nonetheless, doesn't seem it knows where it's going at all. Won't hit against it until it gets the refresh but current views are very sceptical.

Indeed; interesting you mention The Mighty Boosh as it's probably the only thing on BBC3 that I've made an appointment to watch - yet if this series is relatively successful, it's possible they'll debut the next one (or eventual future ones, if the popularity is there) on BBC2.
In terms of the website I don't like the 'all flash' version of the site, it's bad for accessibility and most likely gives headaches if viewing on mobile browsers due to flash resizing. It would be better for them to only use Flash for parts of the site instead of the entire page.
yeah, flash sites are a nightmare (you can't access them on iPhones for starters, and as the channel is aimed at younger, gadget crazy audiences it restricts access)
apart from that, I quite like the new look on the website - it opens up a whole world of different pres ideas (I hate the stupid boxy look atm). the channel needs a boost like this, and the beeb should use this oppertunity to change the idea of the channel from 'repeats,repeats...' to something bright and funny with real shows that appeal to the audience
