They're all recorded.
What about BBC Four - the CAs always seems more live than the BBC Three ones, or is it all just an illusion..?
Also, does BBC Three re-use announcements - because sometimes they show a menu with one announcer, and an ident straight after with another. It seemed as if the menu had been used before. I suppose any new announcements for each evening are recorded during the day.

AFAIK most of the BBC Three announcements used to be pre-recorded - is this still the case?

My fav one at the mo would have to be the one where one blob is talking to the camera, when we hear a smashing of glass and another blob falls onto screen surrounded by what looks to be broken pieces of a window. The first blob just turns around and says, giggling, "Was that you?", then the other blob on the floor just says, "Yeah!", with a big smile on his face.
Fair enough, it doesn't sound funny like that, but it cracks me up every time. Is there anywhere we could download these from?

I was just about to post this in the BBC One Special Ident - does make you chuckle somewhat. Also goes to show how flexible the blobs are. I don't know exactly how many idents there are but I would guess somewhere around 20 - 25.

So BBC Three is one of the few BBC channels with no Olympic coverage - and the only ones with Olympic idents!

Original audio came from a football training ground interview done for Radio Bristol circa 1989 - the poor reporter is the guy you hear going "that's rather put me off".

Got to be more than 25. Somewhere in the 30's now, because when the blobs first started there were about 25 or so (I even posted a list of them all!! ) And with additions like the Little Britain ones, The African football ones, the Christmas ones, the Olympic ones, the book reading one with the BBC Two big read worm thing plus others I have not mentioned. The BBC Three set is getting rather big!....which is good mind you!
Oh and someone mentioned that new voiceover guy, well I’ve only heard him once, and its that Kieran Elliot from Channel 5' s Night Fever, PLUS' announcer, Challenge announcer (Sometimes), Thomas cook TV Presenter and best of all on his CV, Voice over on Sky's Gay TV!!! Oh and by the way, I think he's no good! BBC Three should have Lola and some of the BBC Two folk, now that would be better.
