Saw it for the first time around the simply fabulous new series of "The Smoking Room" last night.
Like the info strap in the top right (looks neater than the big blue rectangle out the the BBC Three box), but I agree that finishing on the angled cube is a bit poor....although any way of increasing the "blob count" on BBC Three gets top marks from me.

I saw it advertising The Mighty Boosh, and thought it was good, especially the way the information is on-screen (albeit smaller), with the little line at the top right, throughout most of the trail rather than only at the end. Strangely, I didn't notice the logo being slimmer! It was quite late...
But it's certainly an improvement on the old style, which I didn't like at all.

I've just seen a few trails at start-up, and it seems that its only the "Seriously Funny Comedy" versions which have the slimmer box. The trail for Rambo had the normal box. I don't mind the thinner box, actually.
Incidentally, I've noticed that now the BBC Three box is always blue with white text - IIRC the box was always white with transparent text when the channel launched, and I think until recently the idents still had the white box. When did they all switch over to the blue one?

it gradulally changed from the white to the blue box around christmas time.

They appear to have added to blue box to many of the idents quite recently, but quite a few are still going out with the white box, which I think looks better anyway.
