This is hopefully a topic to discuss the goings on in BBC Three's new programme, Leave Us Kids alone. Now I know normally individual programmes don't get their own thread on here, but well, I helped make this one, so I'm interested to see what you guys think of it as most of you are of or near the age BBC Three is meant to be targeting.

Theres already a few trails and teases on air at the moment, but if you've not seen them you can see it online on the site.

Minicam Operator. Think Big Brother remote cameras. The stuff on the minisite explains it better than I can but basically teens teaching kids, seeing what happens.

I'll look out for that, and watch it, it sounds pretty good actually.

Sure you're not thinking of Boys Alone and the follow-up Girls Alone?

Boys Alone and Girls Alone was part of Cutting Edge on Channel 4 about five years ago where a bunch of 11yr-olds were in a house without parental supervision for a week or so to see what happens in a Lord Of The Flies type setup. Can't be sure what happened to the girls but the boys ended up trashing the place. Both programmes have ended up on Teachers TV, aired semi-regularly.

CBBC did rule the school which was a very similar operation where children taught teachers

On a similar note, anyone know if CBS's "Kid Nation" has been axed yet?

It's only got two more episodes to run it would appear. However advertisers are apparently queuing up to buy the advertising airspace. According to the Wiki, the first episode (60mins) went out with only three commercial breaks!

They're planning Kid Nation 2 as well with an application form on the CBS site.

Well, only now having seen the final edit, I thought it was rather good, heres a few caps of the bits I did, and a lil behind the scenes bit.
