I have only ever watched BBC Four once in my life, and that was a classic Doctor Who repeat in November 2013. I watch BBC Three almost every evening, and if the BBC Three shows go online, I most likely wont watch anymore!

200,000 people haven't signed this petition for nothing now, have they!

You could always invest in a Family Guy box set.

I could, but then I am also paying for my TV Licence and the BBC has a channel that shows Family Guy and all of their other great shows every night. I could pay for both, but surely I shouldn't have to.

I believe the BBC are making a big mistake axing BBC Three.

Its only £49 for a Box set S1-S10, Mind you after S6 its crap but thats my view Wink

I get the feeling Family guy will end up on BBC two. 23.20

Here's a novel idea, which I'm not really sure there's a precedent for. If the BBC have long term rights to Family Guy, how about they come to an arrangement whereby they sacrifice their rights, conditional on 30 or 40% of the proceeds from resale (up to the relevant amount of years left at the time of sacrifice) going to the BBC?

That way a commercial broadcaster would doubtless go for it (500k-1m each night at 2300 is a ratings banker) and the BBC would benefit.

If they axed BBC3 I can't see Family Guy continuing with nightly double bills. It probably would get an outing until the contract runs out, but I would bet it would be much reduced.

Being an import as well I imagine the BBC could only screen it online had they screened it on TV in the last 7 days, so that avenue isn't going to work either.

It's unlikely you will be unable to access Family Guy whenever the BBC stop showing it.

Unless of course the BBC get the rights from FOX, or they decide to show on BBC One or BBC Two, but again that is very unlikely. It's a real shame that the BBC have decided to do this, as the channel is loved my so many people.

Gavin and Stacey star James Corden has said he supports the closure of BBC Three as an on-air channel.

The actor, whose series started life on BBC Three, said the channel would find a natural home on the iPlayer.

"It should always be at the forefront of what is fresh and exciting, and therefore it should be the first channel to exist online," he said.

The BBC has said the move, which will see BBC Three's programme budget cut from £85m to £25m, would save millions.

Director general Tony Hall called the plan "financially necessary" and said £30m of the savings would be reinvested in BBC One drama.

BBC Three will continue to have a home on the iPlayer, with some of its programmes aired later on the corporation's main TV channels.

Fans of the channel are displeased, however, with more than 225,000 signing an online petition to save the channel.

I'm not sure anyone outside the world of celebrity cares about what James Corden thinks.

I cant find a thread, but it seems Newsnight Scotland is getting axed, a new programme will appear at 10.30. My question is, will Glasgow still only broadcast the first 30mins or the whole programme? if its the whole programme then were pushing 11.50 before anything get shown from bbc three slots ?
