It looks like it could be a hit.

I notice that new episodes of 'Bad Education' are premiering a week before their TV airing on iPlayer at the moment - I thought all programmes had to appear on TV before iPlayer? The episodes are appearing as being shown on BBC Three, with next week's episode having the air date for next week, but available tonight.

It's a trial, which has proved successful so far.

Schedule change tonight:

DA
David
03:30 - 04:00 Bad Education (Christmas Special) is on at the later time of 03:30 (was 01:45)
00:40 - 01:05 Family Guy (Series 3, Lethal Weapons) is on at the earlier time of 00:10 (was 00:40)
01:05 - 01:25 Family Guy (Series 3, The Kiss Seen Around the World) is on at the earlier time of 00:35 (was 01:05)
03:30 - 04:00 Bluestone 42 (Christmas Special) isn't on and has been replaced by:-
03:30 - 04:00 Bad Education (Christmas Special)
00:55 - 01:25 Him & Her (The Wedding, The Disco) has been added to the schedule.

EDIT: Bluestone 42 is a "comedy drama series following the lives of a bomb disposal detachment serving in Afghanistan." so I assume this is to do with the "UK soldier killed in Afghanistan" headline currently on the BBC News website.

Who told Digital Spy the following in August 2011: "Discussing the future of Family Guy on BBC Three, says that the channel has the animated show for a couple more years, but adds that is it "debatable" as to whether the BBC would pay "any price" to retain the show in the future."

In the article reporting that Family Guy's future is debatable DS say "rights for the popular US animated comedy, which come to an end in two years' time, would not be renewed at "any price"".

Is it just me or is the second article misreporting what he said? He implied that the BBC wouldn't pay silly money to retain the rights but the article quotes him as saying the BBC wouldn't pay any price to renew.

Either way, I'm not sure what has happened since then.
