I'm sure there was talk of a rebrand on Point's Of View a while back, because I distinctly remember them saying that also Family Guy would be getting axed from the new schedules.

Family Guy isn't being axed, not deliberately anyway:

Family Guy's future on BBC Three is "debatable", according to the channel's controller Zai Bennett.

Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival today, Bennett told journalists that rights for the popular US animated comedy, which come to an end in [2013], would not be renewed at "any price".

Which is fine because the rights are one thing, the episodes aren't.

Maybe they'd get more viewers if they mixed them up enough and didn't repeat the same ones 3 times in a week, often 2 parters but never showing part 2! They don't DESERVE the rights.

werent there rumours of tweaks to all bbc channels presentatiin within 2013 in the case of bbc 2 this is to do with bbc2hd launching eventually and also because whereas bbc 1 has changed recently bbc 4 hasn't so everything is being tweaked for freshness.

Ugh, yeah, I hate seeing in the EPG a synopsis for an episode that aired two days ago.

Maybe Channel 5 will pick up Family Guy to bolster their 5USA channel - considering they now have American Idol, would also be good to see Family Guy on their main channel as well!!!!

I think E4 has a chance of picking it up, considering they hold the rights to The Cleveland Show. I doubt Channel 5 would have a go, although ITV might give it a shot if ITV4's focus changes enough.

Peter, Can you please read your posts before you make them, you've made two now that have required Asa or myself to comment on them. Spelling may not be your strong point but on a forum such as this it's hard work for other users to decipher your posts. There are a number of add-ons and plugs for browsers which can spellcheck for you.

I don't think the problem is the spelling as such, but the complete lack of punctuation, save for a full stop. It's lots of sentences strung together into one, and that's what makes it nonsensical.

Hasn't The Cleveland Show been axed in the US?

Must admit, I saw about 10 episodes of The Cleveland Show and gave up on it - for me the humour never matched the quality of Family Guy or American Dad.

No it hasn't. Season 4 is currently airing, we don't yet know if it'll continue past that or not.

Idol will be on 5*, not 5USA.

Cleveland is hilarious. It took about a dozen episodes to find its feet.

Viewers of Family Guy and American Dad must surely have seen those shows start off unsteadily and then improve massively - for some reason unbeknownst to me they don't think Cleveland will do the same.

Which is illogical.
