Well they've stuck with the same music since 2003.

Ah! That I did not know Embarassed

Not quite the same music - it now has the BBC Three sonic logo embedded into it which came from the last re-fresh of the channel a couple of years ago.

And for people interested in hearing, here are the two versions:

Two Pints has finally been axed. Was good when it first began!

I've had a fantastic time working on Two Pints for the last 50 years but wholeheartedly believe it's the right decision for us all to move on. The crew, the fans, the actors and the writers have become like family over the life of the show in that I see them once a year and ask for money.

LOL, it really does feel like its been running fifty years. Was definitely overstaying its welcome. Although in some ways 'Coming of Age' (which I believe has also got the chop) just felt like Two Pints with a (not much) younger cast.

The death of situation comedy on the BBC? They don't seem to have the portfolio of long-running Britcoms they were known for in the 1980s and 1990s. What will GOLD or whatever name UKTV decide to change it to next do for new programmes in ten years time??? (Though I suspect their schedule won't look very different...)

Wow there was really a lot of point in doing that, wasn't there? Confused

Not a BBC2 disaster but not great either. Just another make do and mend job.

"Then" - does that mean they have dropped the silly "Next" that makes it sound like the programme is coming on after the break?

@Jonny: Especially as it was only changed back in October (a much better design)...

I think that happened a few weeks ago, thankfully. Now if only FX could do the same - they use 'Next' to announce the programme that's about to start in the ident introducing it. As I believe most here would agree, 'Next' is always the programme that follows the one that's on - or just starting.
