BBC South just did loads of thank yous, e.g. to the satellite truck who made it possible to transmit from Beaulieu, and a scout group. Finally they said "Goodnight". So did that mean that was that the last regional split?

Now for the Muppets, with a bit of Deal or No Deal thrown in for good measure.

Whenever we go back to London, we seem to hear the end of a Rock and/or Roll song. Where is this coming from? Is that the London opt?


BBC One HD are on London thankfully so I can watch this rather than the Midlands.


And are they ending on a rock and/or roll song each time? It is spilling in to the national bit if they are. I guess London isn't actually opting out.

Oh god - don't start questioning that. We'll begin getting disclaimers about "your donation not being counted but we will take your money" and them closing the phone lines for 10 minutes everytime they reveal a total.

I know, but I get Granada, so it's actually the right region for me. Means I don't have to turn over in the mornings on Daybreak.

London aren't opting-out, they're just continuing the feed - I watched some of the HD feed last year and it's right outside TV Centre, so basically (and sorry if this is obvious) the regions are just opting in over the feed and then cutting back to the national feed, whereas London can fade themselves out to the wide shot outside of TVC.
