they just choose to waste it on administrative non-essentials.

...........And Peter Fincham! .....oh Yeah, he's gone! Maybe if Channel controllers were on minimum wage struggling to pay their TV tax like Thousands of us in the UK, they might think more carefully before opening their mouth, oh and about commissioning yet MORE singing/dancing/reality show living on an island c**p, and the less the BBC pay them lot, the more money they have for decent programmes.

Please ignore my last post - it was intended for the "Where Should BBC cut costs" thread and quite why it ended up here - lots on the mind ATM!

Falcon Beach will be at 4.40pm from next Saturday on BBC2, with Sound on between 5.25 and 6.00. Unfortunatly The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing start at 5.45 that week which they won't be too happy about. BBC Switch is preceded by the teen movie Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, starring Lindsay Lohan, at 3.15. Sound is repeated on BBC3, Monday at 7pm.

Not sure about the placement of the BBC logo (may look better if positioned closer to the i) but at least it's not boxed.

I can see this appealing to teenage girls an awful lot more than teen boys. Stuff like Falcon Beach and Kelly Osbourne's show wil be far more popular with girls.

Hmm... why hasn't this been trailed very much on TV? I've not seen any trailers, and it's almost as if they're trying not to get Switch noticed by the viewing public.

Certainly, what has been announced is a major disappointment and merely another box-checking exercise by the BBC and the children's department. When the idea of BBC Switch was first mooted, there was so much talk about this being an opportunity for home-grown output and how this would be the place for dramas like Byker Grove.

In the event, an ACQUIRED soap, and a music show, though I admit the latter is what the age group wants to see. It doesn't seem anything to get excited about - just lip service to a section of the audience already neglected by the BBC's television services.

I dunno, certainly boys seem to contact the show a lot, partly because they feel it's one of the only places they can turn.

Here's a few images from the Radio 1 website, using a three stripe 'motif'...

The Annie Mac one looks a lot better than the Surgery one, as it has a darker colour.

Interestingly, the Chart show' new site uses the three stripes, despite not officially being part of the Switch line-up...

I wish Radio 1 would take some new photos of the DJs, they keep using the same ones over and over again

Edith obviously doesn't know what BBC Switch is all about, she was encouraging people to listen on the night before they go back to work today. The trailer mentions it is for people who are going to school

If the Chart Show is kind of part of Switch, it'll be interesting if they still do The Retro. It'd be 2002-2006 every week!
