The main bone of contention is that BBC senior managers have been given pay rises of 10-15%, the rest of the staff are being offered 2.5%.

There are also a number of issues around pensions which unions are unhappy with.

The BECTU site has a press release on this: http://www.bectu.org.uk/news/bbc/nb0292.html (though action would be taken by BECTU, the NUJ and the Musician's Union)

I must apologise, I have misled you.

hmm how likely is that given that the playout/tx areas are staffed by RedBee rather than BBC staff?

I think the more worrying thing is how they'd tune in to the test card for half their day.

More so when the organisation is funded by compulsory taxation, as the BBC indeed is.
