It's interesting this. Strikes never work, they just bring anger and opposition to the revolution. If the BBC employee's had wanted to stop the action, they should have gone in and worked at 200% and proved they deserve to stay.

Personally, I like the idea of auntie coming to manchester... being a salford student...

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but in Scotland (and in the rest of the UK due to the nations getting the national feed), there was a silent Capoeria ident with an announcement finally saying "Now the news" (or something similar) before the One. Unusual seeing BBC One idents in Scotland.

Not in Cardiff, they had their own symbol.

Yes i thought that was odd it was the English announcer.I know it was mentioned on here a few weeks ago that five BBC Scotland announcers were to be axed in the cuts.I think that they were getting rid of continuity on Radio Scotland and journalists were going to be taking over the reading of the news bulletins .

Yes, going out in deep-letter box on analogue. Perhaps not very experienced people in the Broadcast Centre today???

So it's in the correct aspect ratio for once? Amazing what can happen when the person who usually **** it up is on strike!
