BBC One just opted out of News 24 with a slide saying "The next News is on BBC One at 1.00pm". We also had a Scotland-branded trail for Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee, and somewhere in there, a timing cock-up which chopped off the top of the announcement into To Buy or Not To Buy.

It's difficult enough regaining control when it switches to emergency DAT - so getting it back during a BBC strike at 2 in the morning could have been very interesting!
Probably not, the people who man the main control rooms are employees of Siemens (what was BBC Technology) the strike isn't affecting them.
Is there not some sort of rule in radio that you should not pull a song from playing once its already started?
There certainly isn't a blanket rule, obviouisly if you realise after putting it n that it contains the word 'F**k' then you should pull it off air!
