Will any programmes on Radio 2 be affected? I wouldn't cope without Ken Bruce and Steve Wright in the Afternoon. I manage to pull through when they're on holiday though.

I should think they'll be a recorded show 'in the can' so to speak.

Although there wouldn't be much difference on the Steve Wright show - most of the bits are pre recorded, allegedly.

Certainly are - a mate appeared on Ask Elvis on Friday and had to do a morning pre-record. It all sounds pre-recorded anyway - it's only the basic links that are live.

Anyway!

Five Live had an interesting anno off the news - she said the schedule had changed and was laughing hysterically as she said it! Couldn't quite work that one out.

Radio 2 news was as per normal with Ricky Salmon. I'd imagine, being a freelancer, he's just wanting to work despite the shift.

CBBC isn't live tomorrow. AM and PM links have been pre-recorded.

What's the point of this!? Surely if you are going to strike you wouldnt agree to record all the output for monday in advance.. that is counterproductive!

It's not exactly counterproductive. Perhaps undermining the point of stike action in a kind of way I suppose. But as long as the pre-records were done under BBC time or they were paid for, there's no major obstacle in the way to say it shouldn't be done. Most staff are happy to do a bit extra so it can go ahead as near to normal as possible yet remain firmly on the picket line.

And it's into the Ceefax pages on BBC 2 with the same music on repeat.

Ceefax on 2 for another 20 Minutes...only got about 15 secs of Bounce Sombre into it, nothing special, although there was a noise as Bounce faded out, which sounded like mic feedback or something...

This "Bart" track that's playing, how long is it going to go on for? I don't think it will change...

Continuity at 01:30 on BBC Two said that from 02:00 there will be a load of programmes from the Adult Learning Zone, so I can only assume these are pre-cued, ready to be automatically put to air?

Anyone know what the first track on the Radio 2 emergency DAT is? Because I think they've just fallen into it...

Why do you say that DAS?

Wow, I knew they were on strike, but I didn't think they'd just play 'Bart' over and over again...it's just started for the fourth time now. You can even hear the record scratching!

As I'd imagine they usually are.
