Well, that's a rather pointless ECP. Nothing there a strap couldn't do - and what sort of shape picture is that?

The picture shape is certainly very weird and will be even more apparent when people are shown in the clips.

Didn't EastEnders abandon the vertical scroll / horizontal map movement before the most recent version?

Hmm....at least the mini box is the width of the credits, not simply a shrunk version of the main image

Panorama get's the new style credits treatment too but with no ECP or announcer. Nice

I don't mind the new format, but I still maintain the credits video is too small to read the text easily. The "later" box is too big for its purpose.

This really is a step back in time.

I don't know if the BBC did it, but in the mid-nineties C4 and C5 at least often reduced the credits to a small box to generally promote a video or book or something.

The BBC Three ones are quite nice.

I really like how the background isnt just swirls, the one I saw was kites. It looked good, IMO anyway. Im glad they arent using it at every point possible though. I like the animation of the boxes on/off too.

And we've just had it used on Two on the end of HIGNFY, with one of the tent idents the background.

I'm not sure about the background stills from idents. The original images we saw with the plainer backgrounds looked better I think.

Good to see centre aligned credits again, especially where the ECP isn't shown. I do agree that this is a step back in time, but seeing the new bbc1 ECP on bbc1 last night on Eastenders it doesn't look that bad IMO.

Sorry, the ECP doesn't look too bad, but I can't see the credits because they've been reduced to the size of a postage stamp. What's wrong with using a slug? C4 manage fine at the end of The Simpsons with that, and occasionally the announcer doing a voiceover.
