Anyway, I could start an argument that the title is totally misleading (particularly if Andy Murray wins it because he doesn't have one) in that the award isn't actually based on personallity, but achievement. It should be named 'BBC Sports Achievement Of The Year'...
..but I won't.
Of course that your title would work just a poorly, as the likes of Andy Murray and Bradley Wiggins have achieved more than one significant thing this year.

The same show is going out on the Bbc News Channel.
Something a bit strange happened at the beginning of the Red Carpet show on the Red Button just now after the initial introduction.
They had several random shots, and random sound clips, and Helen Skelton said off camera "Rebecca Adlington's coming in but I'm guessing you don't want her"

Oh good they do have footage in the actual show.
Seems like they still won't have any actual footage from the Paralympics. A load of stills and audio footage for Ellie Simmonds then. Very annoying.

Very nice stage - didn't realise how big the Excel was, though of course for the Olympics it was split into a few arenas.
What's the point though in giving out the numbers if you can't vote - either open the lines from the beginning (as I'm sure they usually do) or hold back the numbers until the lines open.

Still doesn't look like there's 16,000 in there as they said.
They've spent a few quid on that stage . . .

Despite fears, seems that rights sharing for SPOTY has been used again, Sky and Channel Four content being featured and name checked in vision already.
