Hello all. I've been chatting to a technical bloke whoworks for BBC Sport and he's been telling me about a brand new look for sport programs on the BBC. The current studio (where all sport programs come from) is 'shagged' so during Wimbledon and the Golf afterwards, they completely rebuilding the studio. It will be on two levels and each program will have their own section (Grandstand, Football Focus, Match of the Day) and will have a view of the sportcentre in the background. Not sure if there will be an updateon graphics although he did say all the program will be having new looks. That's all I know. We'll have to wait and see.
Mmmm that's very interesting. On the subject of Sport, does anyone have any details of what ITV are doing ? Where will the new Sports Channel be broadcast from ? Details of studio ? etc.
Great news about the new look, great contacts, I like the current grandstand opening titles, could someone cature them at TV Home type quality, not sort of TV World, which is a great resource but TV Home's standard of quality thanks to Asa, is superb.

Red is the main colour to be used i think as both the tennis and football are using red in the studio and on-screen graphix.

Nah, I don't think so. They were red because for the football, they matched the england flag and for the tennis, everything was red because the sponser was Stella Artois. If you look at the coverage for Eastbourne, it's not red. I dunno, I could be wrong but I don't think so
Yeah your right, they are nice astons and changing the colour is a nice way to alter them, they are purple I think for Eastborne. Atleast the BBC are better than ITV who change their astons by the day, seriously all the time they change by month and event and worse of all they are all bad.
The beeb will go for i'd have though something slightly newsy, maybe green/blue and cream, just get lambie nairn in and everything will be ok.
The ITV Sport astons have improved of late, I think the F1 ones are very good. Actually the whole presentation of F1 on ITV is very good, better than anything the BBC did, it's only let down by the ad breaks. Also, the football on ITV has settled down recently whilst it is the BBC that have been experimenting and changing the graphics.

On the subject of Grandstand (if we were on that subject!) - has anyone got a mp3 of the new jazzy title music they used for a few weeks before protests led to the old one beind reinstated - personally, I liked it!
