I especially like the animations between the leagues for the results. There's something about that blue ring background that reminds me of CBBC around 2005, I think I prefer the hexagon design used as a holding slide.

I see what you mean...

Having seen the new BBC Sport graphics it’s safe to say that they look visually nice to the eye.

The animations are seamless and smooth - not to mention how sleek and great the graphics are.

The only issue is that as a few other posters have mentioned, some text is squashed, but that is minor.

This is overall, a welcome and impressive change from the BBC Sport department. Very Happy

A lot of wasted space round the edge in the classified results, even for the leagues where 12 matches were played. Is it still readable on a small 17" TV in SD?

Some dodgy abbreviations on all caps above. Crystal Palace called C Palace even when its the full screen match being talked about. On the BT Sport examples, Huddersfield was abbreviated but Bournemouth was spelt out in full.

Worth noting the Final Score graphics are usually the worst element of any BBC Sport graphics package, so a few issues here not too much to worry about.

Just checked Sportscene and despite an early use of the new graphics on the highlights last week the old graphics remained for the results show today.

How do the BBC usually role out the graphics? Is it a case of everything change in the same day or gradually?

Gradual with the roll out usually taking a year for most Sports to be done. I imagine as this is a bigger change things will be a lot quicker.

I wonder if that blue colour and background will make way for Purple for Wimbledon, and other colours for the other sports. Or is it blue for all sports from here on out?

It does seem odd that they've only recently updated the pres for the sports updates on the news, but still in the old style. I wonder if that will remain until the news changes?

The wobbly desk works much better on the new centre circle platform.

As for rollout it usually begins with football then gets a bit hit and miss beyond then. Wimbledon you'd expect to get a purple/green version although with the BBC relinquishing the host broadcasting role it may not matter as the match graphics may not be in the BBC style.

P.S. Whats this "Expected Goals" nonsense where in the match stats after the game they tell you the Expected Goals, which in both matches sofar has seen the lose expected to score more. Might make sense to show it before a live match, but not after the highlights.

On some of the graphics the BBC sport stacked logo is so small you can barely see the BBC sport logo.

They just showed the schedule for some BBC sport. It included "TWO" logos shown 3 times but without the "BBC" but added onto it. It also included "iPlayer" without the BBC bit also.

Is that because the new BBC Sport logo was also on screen therefore there was no need for further "BBC" references??

Imagine if a BBC2 identity was shown on screen with just a "TWO" green box in the corner?? There would be uproar!!
